Applications open for direct beneficiary grants on restoration under the AFR100 Support Programme

The AFR100 Support Programme, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and led by FAO with partners, continues to advance implementation with the opening of calls for applications for Direct Beneficiary Grants (DBGs) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Togo and the United Republic of Tanzania.
The grants aim to support locally led forest and landscape restoration (FLR) action and restoration-based value-added innovation, helping communities restore degraded landscapes while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. The programme provides direct financial and technical assistance to local communities, smallholder forest and farm producer organizations, and local enterprises to scale up restoration efforts and strengthen local economies.
